In general, I use computational methods and methods for causal inferences to understand human behavior with an eye for how to solve human problems.
In my current role, I look to understand, quantify, and mitigate the impact of potentially harmful content on social media platforms.
As a PhD student, I study how social factors within and outside of organizations shape how people understand and respond to policies. Most of my work looks at educational organizations, such as school or professional development providers.
Here are some examples of my work:
- Shaping policy ideas in social networks: How do influential people in social networks access and share information in the wake of major policy changes?
- The mobilization of educational social movements
- How do social movements shape ideas about educational policies?
